Like all of the Sigma "DP" series digital cameras, the DP2s is a versatile Full Spectrum camera for color and monochrome infrared, when the internal hot mirror is removed.
No filter is needed for color infrared, but a custom white balance setting is required. Any neutral gray target (sidewalk, driveway) in full sunlight works fine.
Monochrome Infrared images are created with an over-the-lens B+W 092 695nm or a standard 720nm IR-pass filter. Straight out-of-camera "X3F" images are completely red, so I use Sigma Photo Pro to convert them to monochrome.
Adding an over-the-lens hot mirror filter will convert the DP2s back to a normal, visible light camera. Matching the same UV/IR blocking characteristics as the original Sigma hot mirror takes some experimentation, but I've had good results with a light blue, color correcting hot mirror, stacked with a Tiffen-style dielectric hot mirror.
